PM Meets with New Vietnamese Ambassador

PHNOM PENH: Prime Minister Hun Sen has received a visit from the new Vietnamese Ambassador on Wednesday morning at the Peace Palace. The Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to the Kingdom of Cambodia, Nguyen Huy Tang has replaced the former Vietnamese Ambassador Vũ Quang Minh. Four weeks ago, Ambassador Nguyen Huy Tang has paid a visit to King Norodom Sihamoni presented his Letter of Credentials.

 Ambassador Nguyen Huy Tang was born in 1962 in Phu Hoa commune, Luong Tai district, Bac Ninh province. Apart from his own language, he speaks Khmer and English. He worked at the Vietnamese Embassy in Cambodia as First Secretary in 2000-2003. In 2004, he started working at the Central Committee for Foreign Affairs. Then he was a Deputy Head of the Central Committee for External Relations from 2011 and became Standing Deputy Head of the Central Committee for External Relations in 2018.
